"At all costs avoid being boring. I put that before everything...You must use your imagination, an imagination which is based on sure foundations and which employs all means and methods to bring to the ears of the masses the new attitude in a way which is modern, up to date, interesting, and appealing...I am placing a major responsibility in your hands for you have in your hands the most modern instrument in existence for influencing the masses. By means of this instrument you are the creators of public opinion. If you carry this out well we shall win over the people."
-Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's chief minister of propaganda speaking about radio
"Here we are now, entertain us."

we've been enjoying your recent burst of posts. keep it up!
Sounds like something that could easily have been said to inspire church growth.
scary, huh scott?
I like the full line that you're quoting from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" It goes:
"With the lights off, it's less dangerous. Here we are now, entertain us."
Patti Smyth (sp?) just released an excellent cover of that song.
I've been listening more to Nirvana's second major studio release "In Utero". That one didn't find the same commercial success as Nevermind, maybe because it wasn't quite as listener friendly. But, man it is a great record. The very first line is "Teenage angst has paid off well, now I'm bored and old."
